Young People Project Worker

Role Description

The Bostey is looking for an experienced and committed young peoples project worker to support and inspire young people within our community. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality youth provision and creating a safe, inclusive environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children and young people aged 8 -21 years old
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is confidence managing behaviour positively
• Is flexible for evenings, weekends & residential trips

About

The Bostey provides safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces for children and young people aged 8-19.

We aim to:

• Promote positive mental health
• Reduce antisocial behaviour through positive activities
• Build confidence, skills and resilience
• encourage positive relationships with trusted adults.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive youth sessions
• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
• Support the development of a young person’s emotional wellbeing and personal development
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
• Contribute to planning activities, projects, and events
• Contribute to our evaluation and monitoring process
• Support emerging leaders and volunteers to become confident members of the team
