On 6 June 2026, it will have been 40 years’ since St Anthony’s was registered as a company by our found Father Michael Conaty MBE.
A big thank you to our staff, service users, Trustees past and present and everyone else who has been connected with St Anthony’s over the past 40 years and your role in keeping St Anthony’s going. Father Conaty would be very proud.
We are working with the Northumberland Wildlife Trust alongside their Next Door Nature Project. They visited us back in December, on a very frosty morning, and created this video featuring a regular adult session at The Bostey and ongoing work of The Garden Project learning how to make planters and raised beds which we plan to fill with bee friendly flowers.
We are excited to continue working with and supporting the next door nature project.
If you or someone you know would be interested in visiting our Garden Project please contact Iona Heaton, Gardener, on 0191 234 5775 option 0 or email i.heaton@anthonycareservices.org.uk. More information can be found about our garden project on our services page.

We are always looking for new volunteers to help at St Anthony’s Day Centre and in the Garden Project.
